| Matteck Matsuzaki Co.,Ltd. was established by Mr. Terukazu
Matsuzaki, the founder, in Japan in 1898 when something surprisingly innovative
were introduced into Japan one after another every day like the first automobile
emerged in Tokyo and the first Japanese film shown at Kabuki-theater. Since then
in the big wave to Westernization, we have been producing hairdressing scissors
only, for more than 100 years by over three generation as the pioneer in the world.
Meanwhile, Mr. Masayoshi Matsuzaki, the second President, made continuous technical
development and endeavored hard to respond to the demands of clients.Now, just
at the beginning of 21st century, in the course of accelerating speed of social
change and diversification of needs, we have made a definite decision again. That
is to make continuous challenge to offer dreams, for ideal hairstyle by ideal
tool, to all clients. Accumulated 100 years in the past and another 100 years

| What is Damascus ? |
| It is the capital of Syria in the Middle East where
a great civilization prospered by the collision and fusion of both Western and

produced in ancient India.

| What is Damask steel? |
| This is completed by repeated forging of two types of
steel, piling both low and high content carbon steel on and on by turns. After
polishing and slight corrosive process, complicated but attractive pattern like
contour lines on a map could be created. By this steel, many gorgeous cutlery
were produced such as swords and daggers. These works became precious treasure
and many knights were proud of possessing them. |
